Kayvene McJannett helms the Toronto-based Studio KAVENE, where she designs and creates unique works of art. Each piece is made by hand-pouring gypsum cement onto woven stainless steel mesh to create beautifully embossed surfaces. Pared down to essential elements of pattern and texture, the fluid, organic nature of her pieces is contrasted by the man-made materials used to create them.
